Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of 1 year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other medical facility
- Food handler's permit required
- Ability to speak, understand, and write fluent English
- Reliable transportation required
- Any combination of experience and training which provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities

Job Duties
- Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu while utilizing standardized recipes
- Ensure that food prepared is of proper quantity and in accordance with established time schedules
- Utilize correct portion control utensils during the preparation and duration of food service to ensure proper quantity
- Check and maintain proper food temperatures during food preparation and services, recording those temperatures according to policy
- Ensure an adequate supply of food and supplies are available at all times, reporting inadequate stock to the supervisor timely
