Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in food safety and sanitation required by KSDE
- Minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare residential commercial or school food service preferred
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to prepare and cook meals meeting dietary and nutritional needs
- Excellent time management organizational and problem-solving skills
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Teamwork dependability and strong customer-centric approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook balanced nutritious meals that meet specific dietary needs
- Ensure kitchen activities comply with health safety and sanitation regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adapt meals to accommodate dietary restrictions and therapeutic needs
- Manage kitchen inventory including ordering supplies and maintaining records
- Maintain kitchen equipment and appliances through regular inspection and cleaning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality of care and service
- Communicate effectively with team members and community
- Adhere to company policies code of conduct and confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned
