Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year prior experience in food preparation and serving
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines

Job Duties

  • Assist Lead Cook in preparing daily meals such as salads, sandwiches, soups, starches, and meats in a safe and sanitary manner
  • Prepare food for serving, arrange serving trays, and replenish serving lines as necessary
  • Review production schedules to determine food requirements and assemble needed supplies and equipment
  • Operate, clean, and sanitize kitchen work areas, equipment, supplies, and tools
  • Properly store food and leftovers according to approved storage and refrigeration requirements
  • Participate in preparation and serving of foods for special catered events
  • Maintain professional behavior reflecting honesty, fairness, courtesy, and personal integrity
  • Perform other food service and preparation activities as required
  • Adhere to Bancroft Code of Ethics and promote ethical behavior
  • Stay current with required training certifications and maintain compliance with state licensing and regulatory standards
