Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Manual dexterity and good auditory and visual skills
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
  • Willingness to operate kitchen equipment safely and adhere to sanitation standards
  • Reliable transportation to the job location
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience working in a commercial kitchen or food service environment
  • Basic knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deliver excellent customer service
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work full-time or part-time hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Inspect and clean food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures by regulating kitchen equipment
  • Monitor the freshness and quality of food and ingredients, rotating stock and following labeling procedures
  • Cook and prepare foods using various methods and equipment, including baking, roasting, and steaming
  • Season, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • Wash, peel, cut, and prepare fruits and vegetables for consumption
  • Prepare and serve food to customers in a timely manner
  • Assist with inventory management and maintain records of food usage
  • Communicate kitchen equipment and supply needs to supervisors
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation standards and provide excellent customer service
