Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-3 years related work experience
- Valid ServSafe or approved Food Handler Certification
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less
- Moderate reading and writing skills
- Manual dexterity
- Good auditory and visual skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
- Knowledge of safe work practices and company policies
- Compliance with uniform and hygiene standards
- High level of integrity and honesty
- Ability to work beyond normal hours if needed
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepares or directs preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems
- Determines amount and type of food and supplies required using production estimates
- Ensures availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation
- Sets steam table
- Serves or ensures proper serving of food for tray line or dining
- Complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health regulations
- Observes proper food preparation and handling techniques
- Stores food properly and safely, marking date and labeling
- Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance
- Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours to ensure excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food
- Apportions food for serving
- Maintains daily production records
- Keeps work area neat and clean at all times including dishwashing
- Cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation
- Completes food temperature checks before serving
- Completes requirements for in-service training, attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
- Supports mission, values, and vision of the company
- Cooperates with safety, security, quality assurance, and confidentiality procedures
- Participates in teamwork and positive communication
- Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members, and customers
- Maintains composure under pressure in fast-paced environment
