Job Requirements

  • Valid food handler permit or ServSafe certification if working in Utah or Idaho
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work full-time including weekends
  • Capability to stand for long periods and tolerate temperature extremes
  • Manual dexterity to handle kitchen equipment and supplies
  • Ability to lift and transport heavy items
  • Commitment to following food safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Food handler permit or ServSafe certification by first day of work
  • Demonstrated ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of safe food handling techniques
  • Understanding of workflow, prioritization, and deadlines
  • Exceptional customer service skills preferred
  • Experience with modified diets and commercial cooking equipment preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepares and cooks food items following recipes and instructions
  • Prepares bulk food items and large scale production meals
  • Maintains an organized and sanitary work environment
  • Rotates products to ensure proper quantities and freshness
  • Interacts with customers in catering, retail outlets or patient care
  • May deliver patient meals and handle cashier duties
  • Uses automatic and manual ware-washing machines
