Job Requirements
- Previous line cook experience
- minimum of 3 years of quantity cooking experience
- minor butchery skills
- ability to work in a non-temperature regulated environment
- ability to comply with all company safety policies and infection control procedures
- ability to assist in emergency patient evacuation if required
- ability to pass post-employment physical exam, drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry
- capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- possess a Food Handler's permit or SERV Safe certification as per State requirements
- ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job
- able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families
- capable of working cooperatively with other associates
- maintain regular attendance
- ability to meet all local health regulations
Job Duties
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- follow recipes and presentation specifications
- operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- clean and maintain stations in practicing good safety and sanitation
- assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- restock items as needed throughout the shift
- adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
- menu planning
- food shopping
- recording food temperature
- preparing reports
