Job Requirements

  • Previous line cook experience
  • minimum of 3 years of quantity cooking experience
  • minor butchery skills
  • ability to work in a non-temperature regulated environment
  • ability to comply with all company safety policies and infection control procedures
  • ability to assist in emergency patient evacuation if required
  • ability to pass post-employment physical exam, drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry
  • capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • possess a Food Handler's permit or SERV Safe certification as per State requirements
  • ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job
  • able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families
  • capable of working cooperatively with other associates
  • maintain regular attendance
  • ability to meet all local health regulations

Job Duties

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • clean and maintain stations in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
  • restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
  • menu planning
  • food shopping
  • recording food temperature
  • preparing reports
