Job Requirements

  • know local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel
  • ensure the kitchen remains well-stocked at all times
  • receive food and beverage orders as needed
  • follow provided brand and IHM recipes when cooking food to serve guests
  • prepare and plate all food items on the menu
  • use hot food preparation machines such as ovens, stoves, and microwaves to cook or heat food
  • clean and sanitize tables, countertops, and floors after each service

Job Qualifications

  • ability to follow brand and IHM standard operating procedures to prepare food and beverage items
  • highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
  • must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • ability to work well in stressful situations
  • basic knowledge of how to operate all food and beverage equipment
