Job Requirements
- Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to all fellow team members, managers and cooks
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate proper communication and fill in required forms and check lists
- Must possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools, kitchen equipment and sharp knives
- Must demonstrate coordination and balance while moving quickly in a potentially dangerous environment
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 8 hours in length
- Subject to wet floors, extreme temperatures and loud noises
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift and carry dishes, cases of food, pots of water, food products and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a continuous and regular basis
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move freely without restriction throughout the kitchen
- Minimum age requirement is 18
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a comparable kitchen role preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Prepare menu items according to recipes, plate presentations and specifications
- Complete all assigned prep work
- Set up work station according to station diagram
- Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times
- Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift
- Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects
- Observe safety protocols and cleanliness standards
