Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be fully conversational in English
  • At least 2 years of culinary experience in a fast-paced dining restaurant
  • Must successfully obtain SERVSafe Certification or equivalent within 30 days of hire
  • Knowledge of cooking procedures, safety, and sanitation
  • Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and under varying weather conditions
  • Must be physically able to stand for extended periods, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift 35 pounds or more
  • Must be flexible and support teamwork
  • Must adhere to company policies and standards

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Fully conversational in English
  • Minimum of 2 years culinary experience in a fast-paced dining restaurant demonstrating moderate-level cooking skills such as quick serve, grilling, and frying
  • Knowledge of cooking procedures, safety, and sanitation
  • Excellent knife skills
  • Experience working on multiple kitchen stations preferred
  • Ability to support other cooks and work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds or more and be physically mobile

Job Duties

  • Work on the line in one of OTG's multi-unit concepts
  • Prepare food following recipe guidelines ensuring correct portion sizing and plating
  • Ensure all food items on an order are ready simultaneously
  • Control food quality according to OTG specifications and restaurant directions
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
  • Develop positive working relationships with team members to achieve guest satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned
