Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years previous culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • active Food Handler's certification or ability to get it
  • willingness to work a variety of day, night and weekend shifts
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to work independently
  • able to be on feet for long periods
  • able to lift at least 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods such as grill, sauté and fry
  • use knives and various kitchen equipment proficiently
  • read and recreate recipes accurately
  • ensure consistency in food preparation
  • prepare ingredients for cooking including chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
  • maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
  • properly store all food and other items
  • ensure the quality of ingredients used in food preparation
