- at least one year of relevant cooking experience
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- prior experience cooking or kitchen experience in cafeteria or large volume production facility a plus
- experience with safety procedures typical in food service environment
- ability to multitask

Job Duties
- Refer to daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties and complete opening and closing checklists daily
- set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- safely use a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
- operate equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
- comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, recipes, policies, and procedures
- handle, store, label, and rotate products properly according to applicable state laws
- stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations
- understand menu items and prep ingredients
- multitask in a high-volume kitchen
- handle hot and cold work conditions during food preparation
- perform other related duties as assigned
