Job Requirements

  • Previous cooking experience required
  • previous catering experience preferred but not required
  • ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily
  • compliance with safety protocols including use of cut-resistant gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
  • availability for full time schedule Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

  • Previous cooking experience
  • preferred catering experience
  • ability to prepare food according to recipes and standards
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene
  • good communication and team collaboration skills
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment safely

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and meeting outlined standards
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required
  • reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • maintains personal commitment to safety and abides by company policies
