Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • educational food production courses preferred
  • two years of experience in school or healthcare setting preferred
  • ServeSafe certification preferred
  • prior experience working with children with disabilities or challenging behaviors preferred
  • ability to work unscheduled part-time hours primarily on weekends, afternoons, or evenings
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare and provide high-quality and safe food for individuals, employees, and guests
  • follow standardized recipes and guidelines to prepare, store, and use food
  • measure, weigh, count, and portion hot foods for delivery sites
  • cook hot items for contract meals
  • participate in meal preparation for special events and group functions
  • maintain labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery
  • perform washing and cleaning duties to ensure sanitation
  • operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, steamers, and food grinders
  • provide excellent customer service
