Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • At least 1 year of cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining preferred
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policies
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for job functions
  • Willingness to work in hot and demanding environments
  • Frequent use of sharp knives and kitchen utensils

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of related cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant settings preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques including Soups, Saute, Broiler, Fry, and Pantry
  • Ability to read, comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Understanding of HACCP standards and food safety practices
  • Capable of standing, bending, twisting, and handling kitchen tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items
  • Perform all station functions such as Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and cooking eggs
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to managers and servers
  • Follow recipes and product directions for seasoning, cooking, tasting, and carving food
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Operate kitchen equipment and handle food measuring and mixing
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products to ensure food safety
