Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two or more years of related experience and/or training
  • ServSafe Certification or equivalent Food Handler certification
  • Ability to meet physical demands including standing long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally (team lift)
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold
  • Reliable attendance
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Willingness to adhere to safe work practices

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two or more years of related experience and/or training
  • ServSafe Certification or equivalent Food Handler certification
  • Ability to read and speak English as required for communication and comprehension
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Experience in food preparation in a hospitality environment

Job Duties

  • Prepares sufficient quantities of food product in accordance to production plan or forecast needs
  • Utilizes whole food products eliminating any waste
  • Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas
  • Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner
  • Requisitions inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production
  • Ensures proper storage of food items, wraps, dates, and rotates food items
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Performs other duties as required
