Job Requirements
- Must possess at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must have, as a minimum, 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility
- Food handler's permit required
- Any combination of experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
- Must be able to speak, understand, and write fluently in English
- Reliable transportation required

Job Duties
- Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu using standardized recipes
- Ensure that food prepared is of proper quantity and in accordance with established time schedules
- Utilize correct portion control utensils during preparation and service to ensure proper quantity
- Check and maintain proper food temperatures during preparation and service while recording temperatures per policy
- Ensure adequate supply of food and supplies at all times
- Report inadequate stock levels to the supervisor in a timely manner
