Job Requirements

  • Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Requires minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
  • Work experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform job functions
  • Frequent use of hands in water and chemical solutions
  • Frequent work with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • Ability to work in hot environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of related cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation skills and HACCP standards
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods at various stations including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and eggs
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
  • Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving food
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation practices complying with HACCP standards
  • Operate a variety of kitchen equipment
  • Measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut, and shred fruits and vegetables
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
