Job Requirements

  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required
  • one or more years of experience as a cook or line cook preferred
  • ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • knowledge of safe food handling techniques
  • ability to understand workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, tolerate temperature extremes, and use manual dexterity to operate equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work
  • one or more years of experience as a cook or line cook preferred
  • ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • knowledge of safe food handling techniques
  • understanding of workflow, priorities, and deadlines
  • ability to provide exceptional customer service preferred
  • knowledge of modified diet food preparation preferred
  • ability to utilize commercial cooking equipment preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food
  • serve customers
  • follow recipes and instructions
  • prepare bulk food items and large scale production
  • maintain an organized and sanitary environment
  • maintain proper product rotation
  • interact with customers in catering, retail, or patient care settings
  • deliver patient meals, cashier, stock supplies
  • operate ware-washing machines
