Job Requirements
- experience in food preparation and presentation in similar food service settings
- ability to frequently lift objects up to 40 pounds
- physical capability to stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for long durations
- ability to work in hot, noisy, and steamy kitchen conditions
- capable of following instructions accurately
- no education substitution for experience
- ability to provide eligibility documentation by closing date
- foreign education equivalency proof if applicable
Job Qualifications
- knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods gained in grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or similar food operation
- ability to operate and clean food service equipment
- understanding of food characteristics and seasoning techniques
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
- capability to work safely and perform simple arithmetic
- open to all applicants with appropriate experience
- able to provide proof of eligibility
Job Duties
- lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for extended periods
- operate and clean food service equipment
- prepare and present food according to established standards
- follow oral and written instructions safely
- season food and determine when food is cooked
- work effectively in hot, noisy kitchen environment exposed to steam, fumes, and odors
