Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required
- One or more years of cooking or catering experience preferred
- Effective English communication skills
- Ability to work flexible scheduling
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
- Ability to tolerate temperature extremes and exposure to cleaning chemicals
Job Qualifications
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification by first day of work
- One or more years of experience as a cook, line cook, or in catering services preferred
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safe food handling techniques
- Ability to understand workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Exceptional customer service skills preferred
- Ability to prepare food according to modified diets preferred
- Proficiency in using commercial cooking equipment preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and instructions
- Serve customers in various venues including catering, retail, and patient care
- Maintain organized and sanitary working environments
- Handle bulk food preparation and large-scale production tasks
- Perform additional duties including delivering patient meals, cashiering, stocking, and operating ware-washing machines
- Ensure proper food quantity and product rotation
- Interact professionally with customers and team members
