Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required
  • One or more years of cooking or catering experience preferred
  • Effective English communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible scheduling
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • Ability to tolerate temperature extremes and exposure to cleaning chemicals

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification by first day of work
  • One or more years of experience as a cook, line cook, or in catering services preferred
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of safe food handling techniques
  • Ability to understand workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional customer service skills preferred
  • Ability to prepare food according to modified diets preferred
  • Proficiency in using commercial cooking equipment preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and instructions
  • Serve customers in various venues including catering, retail, and patient care
  • Maintain organized and sanitary working environments
  • Handle bulk food preparation and large-scale production tasks
  • Perform additional duties including delivering patient meals, cashiering, stocking, and operating ware-washing machines
  • Ensure proper food quantity and product rotation
  • Interact professionally with customers and team members
