Job Requirements

  • Previous high volume batch cooking experience is required
  • ability to work full time schedules including evenings and weekends
  • ability to follow all safety guidelines and food safety regulations
  • must be able to comply with company policies on safety equipment such as cut gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
  • ability to perform physical tasks involved in kitchen work
  • must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • good communication skills
  • must be authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Previous high volume batch cooking experience
  • ability to prepare food in accordance with federal, state and corporate standards
  • experience with food safety and sanitation procedures
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and portioning guidelines

  • ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
  • ability to manage production records and inventory
  • commitment to personal and workplace safety
  • ability to work varying days and hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring food temperature, appearance, and taste
  • uses established ticket collection procedures during service and manages records
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards and safe food handling
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents immediately
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers and management
  • performs job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures according to HACCP standards
  • commits personally to safety and complies with company policies on safety equipment and procedures
  • performs other duties as assigned
