Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year prep/line cook experience
  • DOH accreditation or Safe Serve certification
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • capacity to work in a fast paced, high stress environment
  • excellent manual dexterity
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • good auditory and visual skills

Job Qualifications

  • DOH accreditation or Safe Serve Certified

Job Duties

  • Contributes positively to the team environment
  • understands and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen procedures
  • prepares, cooks and assembles food following recipes and special diet orders
  • works closely with front of house teammates to ensure accurate and efficient food orders
  • preps ingredients for peak trade and meets 10-minute ticket times
  • builds relationships and communicates effectively with team members
  • uses standard recipes for preparation and portioning
  • stores food properly and safely
  • plans food production to ensure quality and temperature preservation
  • follows food hygiene regulations
  • receives and unpacks all kitchen and food deliveries
  • maintains clean and hygienic workstation
  • closes kitchen properly following procedure
  • reports equipment and food quality issues
  • maintains grooming and uniform guidelines
