Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year cooking or food preparation experience
  • DOH certification or Safe Serve certification
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Physical capability to stand, lift, bend, and perform kitchen duties
  • Strong communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year prep or line cook experience preferably in a high volume cafe environment
  • Department of Health (DOH) accreditation or Safe Serve Certified
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven team player with collaborative skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and high stress environment
  • Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook and assemble food products following standard recipes and portion sizes
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene including equipment and workstations
  • Collaborate with front of house team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery
  • Store food items properly and safely while tracking inventory
  • Receive and unpack kitchen and food deliveries
  • Comply with all food safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations
  • Report equipment or food quality issues promptly
