Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent
- Certification in food safety and sanitation from KSDE
- Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare, residential, commercial food service or school food service preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary needs
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Teamwork and dependability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in food safety and sanitation from KSDE
- Minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare, residential, commercial food service, or school food service
- Experience in inventory resource management and ordering systems preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and provide customer-centric service
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook balanced, nutritious meals that meet specific dietary needs
- Ensure all kitchen activities comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and keep accurate records of food use and expenditures
- Maintain kitchen equipment through routine inspections and coordinate necessary repairs
- Collaborate with kitchen staff, Nutrition Services Manager, KSDE Consultant, and Clinician providers
- Adhere to code of conduct and company policies, ensure confidentiality, and perform other duties as assigned
