Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of food preparation experience
- Hospital food service experience preferred
- Good communication skills
- Ability to interpret and follow recipes
- Basic computer and math knowledge
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Hot line service cook experience preferred
- Sanitation certified within three months of hire
- Able to access high and low areas
- Exposure to hazardous materials and conditions
- Able to meet time constraints in a fast-paced environment
- Able to perform cleaning tasks
- Able to communicate with others
- Able to safely use kitchen equipment
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
- Use lifting equipment or assistance for weights over 35 pounds

Job Duties
- Responsible for ensuring that all hot and cold menu items are prepared according to department production and food safety standards
- Notify appropriate individuals about any production compliance or process deviations and participate in offering solutions
- Follow standardized recipes to maintain food quality and quantity across meals
- Adhere to all food safety standards, documenting and addressing non-compliance in temperatures, labeling, and food rotation
- Comply with production standards relating to scheduling, food readiness, cooling, and reheating
- Perform duties successfully in all hot production areas including trayline cook, café cook, grill, and catering
- Practice safety and sanitation techniques meeting departmental standards including proper use of chemicals and 'clean as you go' methods
