Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cooking experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules including part-time hours
- Commitment to maintaining food safety standards
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Pass background check and drug screening
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year relevant cooking experience preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, ingredients, recipes, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Demonstrated caring attitude and empathy towards seniors
- Basic math and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to set recipes and dietary guidelines
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of cooking areas and equipment
- Monitor inventory and supplies to avoid shortages
- Follow food safety and health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to maintain efficient kitchen operation
- Assist with menu planning and special dietary requirements
- Provide excellent service and support to residents during meal times
