Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including part-time hours
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety standards
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Pass background check and drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year relevant cooking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation, ingredients, recipes, and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Demonstrated caring attitude and empathy towards seniors
  • Basic math and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals according to set recipes and dietary guidelines
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of cooking areas and equipment
  • Monitor inventory and supplies to avoid shortages
  • Follow food safety and health regulations
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to maintain efficient kitchen operation
  • Assist with menu planning and special dietary requirements
  • Provide excellent service and support to residents during meal times
