Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- At least two years full time cooking experience in a fast paced multi-faceted food service environment such as hotels, hospitals, country clubs or airline catering
- Must be a team player
- Must be a self starter with a clean as you go mentality
- Must have the ability to read and interpret recipes
- Must successfully complete and maintain LA City Fire Card certification at time of hire or within first 30 days of employment

Job Duties
- Prepares all food items for patient services, cafeteria and catered events
- Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures
- Makes changes as needed to complete the work assignment
- Maintains and cares for equipment and supplies
- Documents maintenance and repairs
- Works off production sheets and follows recipes
- Prepares food for all designated areas including main kitchen and cafeteria
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices and sanitation
- Performs preparations for the following day
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
