Job Requirements

  • Must have batch and line cooking experience
  • Strong knowledge of from-scratch cooking
  • Ability to work various shifts including early mornings and evenings
  • Capability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • Willingness to follow company policies and safety procedures
  • Ability to perform job-related physical tasks
  • Compliance with drug-free workplace policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior cooking experience in batch and line cooking
  • Strong knowledge of from-scratch cooking techniques
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and maintain food quality
  • Good organizational and record keeping skills
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen duties safely

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and presentation
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Cleans kitchen and maintains high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • Follows company safety policies including use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Performs other duties as assigned
