Job Requirements

  • Must have experience in food preparation and presentation
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment
  • Ability to do simple arithmetic
  • Physically able to lift and carry objects weighing 40 pounds
  • Must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must provide proof of eligibility by closing date
  • Open to all applicants
  • No substitution of education for experience
  • Foreign education must be equivalent to U.S. standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in food preparation and presentation gained in grills, snack bars, restaurants, clubs, or similar food service activities
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
  • Ability to operate and clean food service equipment
  • Knowledge of the characteristics of various foods and seasoning techniques
  • Physical capability to lift 40 pounds and perform continuous physical activity
  • Ability to work flexible hours including shifts, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present food items according to established methods and procedures
  • Follow oral and written instructions accurately
  • Operate and clean food service equipment properly
  • Season food effectively and determine when food is adequately cooked
  • Lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds safely
  • Stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend continuously for extended periods
  • Provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special situations as needed
