Job Description
South Suburban Parks and Recreation is a dedicated organization committed to fostering healthy living through the stewardship of the environment, parks, trails, and open spaces. Serving residents in Bow Mar, Columbine Valley, Centennial west of I-25, Littleton, Lone Tree, Sheridan, and unincorporated portions of Douglas, Jefferson, and Arapahoe counties, the district operates a wide range of recreational facilities. Job Requirements
- must be 17 years of age or older
- ability to follow recipes and food preparation procedures
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- good communication abilities
- knowledge of health and safety regulations
- ability to handle the public in a friendly and professional manner
Job Qualifications
- knowledge of food preparation and production for volume restaurant
- ability to read recipes and memorize and replicate food production procedures
- ability to understand and follow direction from others
- proficiency in math including weights and measures
- ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- effective verbal communication skills
- knowledge of health standards and regulations
Job Duties
- cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products accurately and efficiently
- prepare and portion food products prior to cooking
- perform plating and garnishing of cooked items
- prepare appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates
- follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving
- comply with health department and governmental agency regulations
- communicate effectively with team members and the public
