Job Requirements

  • food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • frequently immerse hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
  • frequently work with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • able to work in hot kitchen environments

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
  • knowledge of food preparation techniques and HACCP standards
  • experience in high-volume and casual dining restaurant environments preferred
  • ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • ability to interact comfortably with customers
  • strong food knowledge pertaining to soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry

Job Duties

  • prepare cooked foods according to recipes and product directions
  • perform station functions including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and egg cooking
  • communicate ticket times and potential problems to manager on duty and servers
  • provide high-quality service to customers and associates
  • clean and sanitize work stations and kitchen equipment
  • practice food safety and sanitation compliance according to HACCP standards
  • operate kitchen equipment and handle ingredients including washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding fruits and vegetables
