Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate
- minimum two years of relevant food preparation experience
- proficiency in English language
- ability to read and follow recipe instructions and menus
- positive work attitude
- teamwork skills
- willingness to obtain First Aid Certification if required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate
- at least two years' experience in food preparation, food purchasing, kitchen safety sanitation, and menu preparation in a restaurant, health care facility, or institution
- able to speak, read, and understand English
- ability to read and follow instructions from recipe books, menus, and food labels
- positive attitude and ability to work well with elderly people
- valid First Aid Certification may be required
- experience working in the senior care industry is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare appealing, nutritious, heart-healthy, tasteful, and fresh meals for residents, prospective residents, families, and guests
- maintain kitchen safety and sanitation standards
- follow recipe books, menus, and food labels accurately
- assist with food purchasing and inventory management
- collaborate with the Director of Dining Services to ensure dietary needs are met
- demonstrate a positive attitude and teamwork
- potentially hold a valid First Aid Certification
