Job Duties
- Preparing pizza dough, sauces, and various toppings such as tomatoes, peppers and onions
- Monitoring the temperature of the pizza ovens as well as cooking times
- Cleaning workstations before and during pizza preparation
- Ensuring that all utensils and cooking equipment are clean before each use
- Managing all food order and ensuring that customers’ orders are completed in a timely manner
- Disposing of expired or spoiled ingredients at the end of each shift
- Preparing pizza, salads and other food items according to company recipes
- Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage
- Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards
- Monitoring supplies and re-stocking as needed
- Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas
- Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner
- Efficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders
- Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed
- Washing dishes
- Mopping, sweeping and deep cleaning to keep the restaurant clean and sanitary
