Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
- Minimum of 1 year cooking experience
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work with sharp knives and hot equipment
- Ability to work in hot environments
- Ability to communicate effectively
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
- Experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
- Food knowledge related to soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry stations
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Strong communication skills for customer interaction
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
Job Duties
- Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
- Season, cook, taste, carve, and serve food items including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts
- Communicate ticket times and potential issues to managers and servers
- Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
- Practice excellent food safety and sanitation, comply with HACCP standards
- Operate kitchen equipment including fryers and griddles
- Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
