Job Requirements

  • Must have a current food handlers license
  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Previous experience as a busboy, washer, waiter, cook, or relevant work experience is preferred
  • Must be able to stand and move during the length of shift, bend and kneel through shift
  • and lift up to 35 pounds, or more, routinely

  • Ability to stand and move throughout the shift
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds routinely

Job Duties

  • Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences
  • Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained in the kitchen
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering kitchen supplies
  • Collaborate with kitchen and caregiving staff to meet residents’ dietary needs
  • Maintain proper food storage and handling procedures
  • Assist with kitchen cleaning duties as required
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and report any malfunctions
