Job Requirements
- One to two years of prior grill, prep, or line cook experience in healthcare, senior living, or restaurant kitchen preferred
- Ability to work full time Tuesday through Saturday, with shifts from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm or 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
- Must be able to follow federal, state, and corporate food safety standards
- Ability to use kitchen equipment safely and correctly
- Must maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight
- Strong commitment to personal and team safety
- Must abide by company policies including use of cut gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One to two years of grill, prep, or line cook experience preferred, especially in healthcare, senior living, or restaurant kitchens
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Basic math skills for portioning and inventory purposes
- Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards in food preparation
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, ensuring food temperature and presentation
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records
- Cleans kitchen areas, stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of refrigerators and storerooms
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
- Commits to personal and team safety following company policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
