Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two years of cooking experience
- QFO or ServeSafe certification
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- able to read and follow standardized recipes
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to work collaboratively
- basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office
- fluency in English
- must attend mandatory training and staff meetings
- empathetic and caring
- complete KeepSAfe and other required training
- organized and strong communication skills
- strong knowledge of food handling
- supervisory experience preferred
- valid driver’s license preferred

Job Duties
- Arrange for coverage when unable to work as scheduled
- attend workshops, meetings, and training to stay informed of regulations
- ensure kitchen, dining, and storage areas are clean and stocked
- inventory all food and related items regularly
- maintain accurate records including temperature checks and donation forms
- order, pick up, and receive food and supplies
- oversee volunteer groups to follow proper kitchen procedures
- perform errands to procure food and supplies
- prepare and serve meals according to the menu
- prepare monthly menus with a supervisor
- prepare advance meals and ensure proper labeling
- respond promptly to kitchen-related concerns
- provide alternatives for food allergies and dietary restrictions
- secure kitchen and dining areas after meals
- wash, sanitize, dry, and store kitchen equipment and surfaces
