Job Requirements
- Three years of prior high-volume cooking experience
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Availability to work part-time hours including rotating holidays
- Ability to maintain safe food handling and kitchen safety standards
- Willingness to attend mandatory safety and in-service meetings
Job Qualifications
- Three years of prior high-volume cooking experience
- Ability to prepare food according to federal, state and corporate standards
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations including HACCP
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen areas
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- Commitment to safety practices including the use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
- Flexibility to work rotating holiday shifts
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains accurate records
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
- Assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Demonstrates personal commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures
