Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years food service experience in healthcare setting
  • Training in food safety meeting state food code requirements highly preferred
  • Ability to lead and assume charge in absence of manager
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
  • Experience with cost control and inventory management
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Follow established and regulatory standards for food preparation, service, and storage
  • Utilize standardized recipes with approved modifications
  • Follow food production procedures and HACCP guidelines
  • Maintain quality standards for patient, cafeteria, and catering food
  • Assure sanitation, cleaning, and temperature standards
  • Participate in quality assessment of meal service
  • Achieve budgeted food cost goals through inventory control and ordering
