Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to follow detailed recipe instructions
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar food preparation role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications and dietary requirements
- Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner following health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies
- Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences
- Monitor food quality and portion sizes to minimize waste
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow all Southern Utah Veterans Home policies and procedures
