Job Requirements
- food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
- experience in high volume and casual dining restaurants preferred
- ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds
- ability to bend, twist and stand for normal job functions
- frequent immersion of hands in water
- frequent work with sharp knives and hot plates
- ability to work in hot environments
Job Qualifications
- minimum of 1 year cooking experience
- knowledge of HACCP standards
- experience in high volume casual dining environments preferred
- ability to follow recipes and instructions
- food knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
- ability to communicate effectively
- ability to safely operate kitchen equipment
Job Duties
- prepare cooked foods including handling fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and egg stations
- communicate ticket times and potential issues to managers and servers
- follow recipes and product directions for preparing and cooking food items
- taste products and check production quality
- clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
- practice food safety and HACCP standards
- operate kitchen equipment and prepare ingredients
- stock, date, rotate, and check temperatures of products
