Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • minimum of 1 year cooking experience
  • work experience in high volume restaurant preferred
  • knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry cooking
  • ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions
  • ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds
  • ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • tolerate working with sharp knives, hot plates, and in hot environments
  • frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning solutions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of related cooking experience
  • knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety practices
  • experience in high volume and casual dining environments preferred
  • ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions and policy documents
  • strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
  • familiarity with cooking methods including soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods according to recipes and product directions
  • communicate ticket times and issues to management and servers
  • ensure high-quality service to customers and associates
  • clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
  • operate kitchen equipment including fryers and griddles
  • measure and mix ingredients accurately
  • stock, date, rotate, and check food temperatures
  • comply with food safety and HACCP standards
