Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in nutrition, food preparation, safe food handling, and food service management
- Experience with institutional cooking including mechanical, pureed, finger food, and renal diets
- Preferred experience working with seniors
- Preferred experience cooking and baking in a commercial kitchen
- Compassionate attitude and professionalism
- Ability to learn new equipment quickly
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment including proper food distribution and storage
- Ensure all special dietary needs are met
- Work effectively in a team environment with strong communication
- Contribute to residents' quality of life by maintaining high food quality and consistency
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills particularly in time management
- Promote the mission, values, and beliefs of Cascade Living
- Adapt to various cooking techniques and equipment
