Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
  • work experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
  • food knowledge pertaining to soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
  • ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policies
  • ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • ability to bend, twist, and stand
  • frequent immersion of hands in water and chemicals
  • frequent use of sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • ability to work in a hot environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year cooking experience in related field
  • knowledge of HACCP standards
  • food knowledge in soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
  • ability to read, comprehend instructions, and communicate effectively
  • ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • ability to stand, bend, and twist for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare foods following recipes and product directions
  • season, cook, taste, carve, and serve food items including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts
  • communicate ticket times and potential problems to managers and servers
  • clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
  • practice excellent food safety and sanitation according to HACCP standards
  • operate various kitchen equipment
  • wash, peel, cut, and shred fruits and vegetables
  • stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
