Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills with knowledge of HACCP standards
- Minimum of 1 year cooking experience
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist and stand for extended periods
- Frequent immersion of hands in water and chemical solutions
- Work safely with sharp knives, utensils and hot plates
- Tolerate work in hot kitchen environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of related cooking experience
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques including saute, broiler, fry and pantry
- Familiarity with HACCP standards and food safety practices
- Ability to comprehend instructions and communicate effectively with team members
- Experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
- Season, cook, taste, carve and serve food items including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other products
- Communicate ticket times and potential problems to manager and servers
- Clean and sanitize workstations and kitchen equipment
- Practice excellent food safety and sanitation in compliance with HACCP standards
- Operate kitchen equipment, measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables
- Stock, date, rotate and check temperatures of products
- Perform other duties as assigned
