Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Requires food preparation skills and food safety knowledge
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, and twist during job functions
  • Comfortable working with sharp knives and hot kitchen equipment
  • Availability to work in a hot environment
  • Must follow company policies including drug-free workplace compliance

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policies
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Familiarity with food preparation for soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry stations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods according to recipes and product directions
  • Perform station functions including Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and egg cooking
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to managers and servers
  • Provide high-quality service to customers and associates
  • Follow food safety and sanitation practices complying with HACCP standards
  • Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
  • Operate various kitchen equipment and handle food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding fruits and vegetables
