Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous line cook experience
  • Three years of quantity cooking experience
  • Minor butchery skills
  • Possess a Food Handler's permit or SERV Safe certification as per state requirements
  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to relate positively and favorably to residents, families and work cooperatively with other associates
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Meet all local health regulations and pass the post-employment physical exam if required
  • Capable of performing the essential job functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Comply with all company safety policies and regulations
  • Comply with infection control procedures and safe patient handling requirements
  • May be required to assist in emergency patient evacuation
  • Meet the general health requirements set forth by facility policies

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain stations in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
