Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior cooking experience preferred
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday with rotating weekends
- Capability to stand for long periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols including use of protective gear
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation to Methodist Healthcare Germantown Hospital
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications

- Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation

Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery ensuring correct portioning and presentation
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Cleans kitchen and maintains high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensures proper food storage
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
- Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs or accidents promptly
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and management
- Performs job safely maintaining a clean work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Commits to personal and workplace safety
- Adheres to company policies including use of protective gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
