Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- must be at least 18 years of age
- at least one year of relevant cooking experience
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- prior cooking or kitchen experience in a cafeteria or large volume production facility preferred
- knowledge of safety procedures typical in cafeteria or food service environments

Job Duties
- Refer to daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties and complete opening and closing checklists daily
- set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- safely use a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
- operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
- comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, recipes, policies, and procedures
- handle, store, label, and rotate products properly according to applicable state laws
- stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations
- demonstrate clear understanding of menu items and ingredient prep
- multitask effectively in a high-volume kitchen
- handle hot and cold work conditions during food preparation
- stand and be on feet for much of the scheduled shift
- perform other related duties as assigned
